Hailing from the great white north of Toronto, Canada. Randy Quan first fell in love with photography at the age of 17. By the time University rolled along he was rarely seen without a camera by his side. His first big break came as an exchange student in Singapore where Randy landed an internship at the English daily; The Straits Times. He had such an impact that Reuters took notice and invited Randy to work along side their photographers at the 2000 Sydney Olympics.

After returning from working abroad, at the age of 23 Randy landed a dream job working for Canada's largest daily newspaper The Toronto Star. He stayed for nearly two years till he decided to freelance for Canada's National newspaper, The Globe and Mail.

Specializing in portraiture, Randy has had the opportunity to photograph some of the world's most famous authors such as Salman Rushide, Kazuo Ishiguro, and P.D. James. Some of his major influences in photography are Yousef Karsh, Herb Ritts, Rankin, and Richard Avedon. Randy is currently working on his own book and gallery show of his portraiture.

Randy has currently been based in the UK for over four years. He is the main European stringer for The Globe and Mail and has contributed to some of North America and the U.K's biggest publications including The Los Angles Times, New York Newsday, Houston Chronicle, Montreal Gazette, Ottawa Citizen, New York Times Magazine, Financial Times, The Daily Telegraph, and OK! magazine.
